I'm 52 years old, mother of three mid-late twentysomethings and grandmother to a precious three year old package of dynamite named Xavier. (My children know me well...my oldest daughter named my grandson after one of my favorite Marvel Universe characters!) I discovered Avatar: The Last Airbender last August while I was watching my grandson because my daughter's daycare took a week vacation. (The nerve of those people to want a few days without screaming infants and snotty nosed toddlers!) So it was Mom to the rescue! Xavier actually became enchanted with the series first. I was going to change the channel to "Yo Gabba Gabba", and he said, "No, Nana, I want to watch this!" I've been addicted ever since. Glad to see that I'm not the only adult who has thoroughly enjoyed the show, and continue to watch it for the excellent storytelling (among other things named in this blog post)! My all time favorite character: Momo! But the cabbage man and Uncle Iroh are close on Momo's heels! Oh yeah, I love Batman: The Animated Series, too!
